Henri Selmer Signature alto saxophone, dark gold lacquer, with exclusive engraving The Signature name underlines Henri Selmer's identity as an inventor and instrument maker, which has been shaped throughout the company's history. The Signature alto sax embodies the revival of the Super Action 80 Series II model, which has marked the history of the saxophone since its introduction in 1986. It retains the sonic characteristics of the Series II, but offers improved intonation, especially in the higher register, and favors emissions in the lower register. Its ergonomics, also inspired by the Series II and responsive to the needs of all musicians, benefit from the latest innovations used for the Supreme model: a new three-point Ace clamping system for better sound homogeneity, a Pakfong tightening ring for greater density in this sensitive zone, an octave mechanism with Teflon elements for greater mechanical fluidity. Embellished with original Art Deco engraving that pays tribute to the old techniques passed down by generations of craftsmen at the SELMER factory in Mantes-la-Ville since 1919. The Signature alto saxophone is both a traditional saxophone and a beacon of modernity.
