The Muse clarinet is new from May 2022.
Building on the successful dynamics of the new generation of clarinets (Privilège, Présence and Prologue), the Muse clarinets have been designed for clarinetists looking for instruments with a very precise and direct response. Muse clarinets evoke the source of artists' inspiration to guide them to creative freedom, beauty and universal harmony.
Detail of engraving
The original laser engraving on the bottom of the instrument's body (see detail below) is inspired by the values of generosity, listening and passing on musical practice. To complete the aesthetic, the Muse clarinets have two flat black chrome metal rings and two silver plated rings with a new design.

Ergonomic comfort similar to the Privilège and Présence models, tested by many clarinetists around the world. Adjustable thumb rest for correcting low F and E on A clarinet, also available on Bb clarinet. New tapered bore for 64 and 65mm barrels.
New conically drilled tone holes, G#/C# optimized intonation with increased tone hole. New hole geometry, new baffle, adjustment screw for C jack.

EVOLUTION
This innovation is based on an inner liner made of new generation resin, which ensures better stability and long life of the instrument while preserving the acoustic properties of a traditional wooden clarinet. The production process combined with the waterproof properties of the material creates a hermetic cover that prevents moisture from penetrating the wood fibers. Henri SELMER Paris offers a ten-year warranty on all upper joints of clarinets made with the EVOLUTION system".
