In order to determine the extent of damage to the wooden structure, we perform a CT scan, tomography. The following gallery shows the repair of the upper part of the clarinet. Due to the uniqueness of this part, which we did not manage to replace with another from a manufacturer, due to intonation and acoustic properties we decided to repair this part as thoroughly as possible. To do this, it was necessary to detect all existing and incipient cracks along the entire length of this part.<\/p>\n

Thanks to CT scanning, the beginnings and ends of cracks could be determined in the first place, and the depth of cracks was no less important. This information was used in the subsequent milling.
